Wearing A Dress Over Jeans
I have a blue dress on and want to wear a jean shirt over it. Is the jean shirt too casual for a bank teller?
I am a bank teller and have to dress kind of nice. I do not have to wear suits but must wear skirts, or dress pants with a nice blouse as long as it is not a t-shirt. I have a spagetti strap dress on so I want to cover it up on top and the only thing I have that seems to go with it at all is a jean button-up shirt. Is this too casual? Help! I am off to work in 1 hour.
Denim is not usually appropriate for a teller to wear but maybe where it is button-up and (maybe dressy-like) it might be okay. I am sure you already KNOW your banks policies for dress code but if there is ever a question you can always bring it in for your manager to see and get there approval. It is difficult to make a decision without seeing it.

Personally I think it sounds pretty smart. However, you will have to decide based on your bosses and how seriously they take dress code. I always wear black skinny jeans for work and this is never an issue but in many places it would be.
