Pants Under Dress
Can you over dress for an interview?
I have an interview tomorrow for pet land, should I know to wear a nice top and nice shoes, my questions is should I wear nice jeans or black dress pants? I don’t have tan pants or anything so im kinda between the two, i don’t want to over dress, i want to show that i am there to work, but I also don’t want to under dress, opinions?

and I only have a nice pair of brown shoes, brown shoes and black pants? Not so much, right?
I would never wear jeans to an interview. People tend to associate jeans with being casual & informal. Although some employers may not care, many of them would consider an interview important enough to wear something more formal than jeans. It just isn’t worth the risk of making a poor first impression.
If anything, you should err on the side of overdressing, rather than under-dressing for an interview. It is rarely seen as a negative by interviewers to overdress, but it can definitely be a negative to under-dress!
Even if you overdress, it communicates to the interviewer that you care about the impression you make, and are taking the interview seriously. In this case, there is nothing to lose by wearing the black dress pants. And make sure your shoes are SHINED before you go!
