Most of us can remember the first time I heard one of our favorite (or not so favorite) songs from someone's pocket or purse and realized it was his cell phone alerting them to an incoming call or text. Many see this as the moment of peace and died quiet: the time on digital devices has gone too far. The rest of us recognize as a sign that the technology that allows the music was finally the presence in our lives that had always wanted. Music conveys emotions in ways words can only dream.
When I heard the calls from friends no longer had to be announced by some cheesy MIDI song, I was so excited that I was willing to pay to use songs that already had as ringtones. I did not realize that I've been scammed until I began to realize that the ringtones that he was buying were not even songs that I really loved, but simply the best material available. Even now I shudder to think of some of the most played radio hits "I used back then. Ok, I thought, so the technology is pretty amazing, safe that there is any way around this somehow to use the songs that I love and have already paid for. So I talked with some of my friends more technologically oriented and discovered that there are some ways to do it yourself. However, the process is somewhat complicated and time consuming, and we lost interest after a couple of songs.
Today, there is a greater selection of songs available as ringtones, as well as a multitude of brand-self web-pages melody, but until recently most of the money above the cost, even if you owned the song they were creating a ring tone. iTunes "Creating ringtones for the iPhone is probably the worst, because it requires you to buy the song from iTunes and pay for its conversion into a ringtone. However, The other day I was surfing the web and randomly found this place called Mad Ringtones.
Not only is the use of this site free, but it gives you control over the creation of the melodies is unlike anything I've ever seen. Not only can decide the length of your ringtone clip, but you can choose to cut entire portions of the track out, allowing you to make your own remixes of comic songs, will be bothered, whatever. And the speed is incredible. Literally, within minutes you can convert any sound file into a ringtone which works on almost any phone.
