Dress Size Chart Weight

School prom in July.. I am too small!?

Hi, :)
I have a school prom this year in July, and I’ve started searching for the perfect dress I can wear on the day.
However, I am 15, and I am actually very VERY small.
I am literally FLAT-CHESTED, and by looking at average measure charts, I don’t seem to fit into a size 0 dress..
I’m also very skinny, and I find it difficult to put on weight.

Anyway, I really want a dress like this:

Since I think it will be an attempt to camoflauge my size.

I’m really worried incase I would be unable to find the right dress…
But if anyone has any form of advice — whether it relates to the dress or my weight issues, that would be great :)

Thanks :)

Had a look at the picture – it is a really beautiful dress. As a flat chested woman myself, I would suggest that you go to your nearest large department store which has similar kinds of dresses (John Lewis, House or Fraser etc) and try one on. It will enable you to find out what happens when you are wearing a strapless dress (lift up your arms, jump up and down to make sure that it won’t slip down!), it will determine too what size you actually are. You don’t have to buy one of them, but armed with the information you get, at least if the one you really want doesn’t come in your size, or you have problems, then you still have plenty of time to look for alternatives.

Nothing much you can do to increase your size. I weighed 7 stone until my mid twenties and back in the 80′s there weren’t such things as size 0. Clothes either came in children’s sizes, or the smallest adult was size 10 (UK). Nothing ever fitted me. At least now there is much more choice. Now in my 40′s and still don’t have droopy boobs (there are benefits!!). Have never felt less of a woman because I am small.

If you do eventually find a strapless dress that fits you, but it gapes a little above the bust, you could try some lingerie tape to hold it in place.
