is it okay to ask bridal party to pay for own dresses/tux rental?
were on a budget ! like most! and i want to have my future sisters in law in my wedding how ever i don’t know if we can afford to pay for their dresses and rent the tux’s for the groomsmen also? – Is it appropriate to ask them to pay for it?
Its actually pretty standard for the wedding party to pay for their own attire and rentals. It might vary according to where you live, but I’ve been in 10 weddings in Texas and paid for my own attire every single time. I wasn’t asked to, it was just expected. Unless you offer to pay, they should know they’re responsible for the cost.
For my own wedding we did pay for part of some of the tux rentals because it was a hardship for them to pay full price and we had room in the budget to pay for it.
