Dress Down
How do you like to dress down a pencil skirt?
I dress very down and usually just accessorize an tee or tank and skinny jeans or shorts. I decided to sorta branch out and try to wear a little riskier things. I recently went to a thrift store and found a bunch of adorable pencil skirts (a light blue one, black one and an orange paisley one). I feel really weird about wearing them though because I really don’t want to feel over done at all. How do you suggest wearing them casually? Any ideas would be awesome.
I do this on the daily. I was just like you, but then I quit wearing jeans altogether. I wear pencil skirts with regular t-shirts, boxy and loose. Usually I tuck them in, because I like my waistline. Wear some flats or chucks. Check out Alice Glass and see if you like her style, too. She pulls it off really well. Now is the perfect time to try out grungey tights, before it gets too hot out.
No jewelry or frilly shirts– although you will probably get the courage to wear them, eventually.
