Dance Shoes Stores In Nyc
BEST IRISH DANCE SHOES IN NEW YORK AREA????
I live in the Bronx and I need to find a good pair of Ghillies or softshoe Irish dance shoes WITHOUT spending so much money!!!!
ordering online is out of the question cuz they’re my first pair and I need to try them on (I have expirience with this with ballet shoes)
what brand is a good but inexpensive brand and/or where in the NYC/Westchester area can I find a store that sells them?

Soft shoes run around $30 to $50 new. I would recommend that you find a studio that teaches Irish Dance near you and see if they have a consignment shelf (or call to save time). Used shoes can save you a bundle. Fays, Rutherford and Antonio Pacelli are the most common name in Irish dance shoes.
I have bought at least 4 pair of shoes for my daugther this way. She is young (8) and only stays in a pair of shoes for a few months and I don’t have the budget to spend hundreds of dollars on shoes each year.

There is almost always a shoe seller there. (new shoes only) If you want to get professionally fitted, they are the ones you want to see. Keep in mind that ghillies stretch a lot.
