BTW- some designers never bother to draw pretty people in their pictures, I still can’t draw hands, one guy I know draws all his designs on hangers, he gave up trying to draw people. Drawing clothes is far more important that the people anyways. I spend little time fashion drawing and more time actually making technical drawings, pattern diagrams, line drawings, etc. There’s so much more to design that pictures, perhaps you should try making some of you clothing ideas.
Here’s an interesting article that appeared in a blog aimed at fashion designers who are working in the industry. It’s about Levi’s project Runway contest. The blog owner, is a designer who runs her own shop and she analyzes some of the drawings she saw on the contest site. She comes at each design from a professional perspective and she says a few things that are quite harsh, but are all worth knowing, especially if one whats to be a fashion designer.
