Japanese clothing online stores, maid costumes, gothic lolita, ganguro?
I need links to any clothing stores in japan. any stores that can ship to the U.S. from japan would be awesome, and anything with any of the japanese street fashion like gothic lolita, ganguro, maid cafes, kawii, etc.
and how come you can buy these things off the street japan for like, $10.00 and people in other countries have to pay quadruple that? ha ha.
and any info about how life is in japan would be awesome.

I’d assume that it’s expensive because of shipping costs and whatnot. That is why you should be really positive that you want something before buying it, because it could end up not fitting right and then you’d have to go through at lot of trouble to return it.
Life in Japan …. well, it really depends on what part of Japan you’re in. Personally, I love all of Japan. Sure, Tokyo is great, but all of the smaller cities are wonderful and the ones that retain bits of ancient Japanese culture are fascinating. I would definitely suggest an exchange program if you think that you could handle it without getting homesick. However, there are many social norms that differ in Japan, so you should really buy a book about Japanese culture or something similar and study it. The worst possible thing you can do in a foreign country is offend people!
The best place to exchange US money for yen is at a post office or with a travel agent.. do NOT exchange money at an airport; the rate is terrible. I would recommend just taking a debit card and using that while you’re over there. Hope this helped.. good luck.
