Is it illegal to work for Chinese company who sells knock off clothing?
I have been offered a position with a Chinese Trading Company to help with sales. My job description would be to market the company’s products and facilitate the process of placing orders. Sort of like a customer service rep. I know that selling replica clothing in USA is illegal, but if I am just working for the company as a customer service rep would I still be consider to be breaking USA trademark and copyright laws? Selling knock offs is 100% illegal, but is it illegal to work for the company?
If the company was sued it is possible that the employees can also be named in the lawsuit in which case it will affect you and you and your mommy and grand mommy might have to spend a pretty penny in your defense even though you are innocent. Stay away from illegal stuff!!
